It’s christmas, not easter, but there is definitely a little resurrection going on today. Another release! I can’t really take any credit for that besides downloading the files and uploading them here again.

Our Foolish Pride has finished another second 5 track EP that Jog/Shuttle is glad to release as of now. If you liked the first relase, you will like this as well.

The year is almost over so I thought I’d prepare a little gift for everyone:

The song “Astroman” by Berlin-based not-only-folk duo Nahe was written in summer when I approached Christian and Bene and asked them for a song for the soon-to-be-released “Hello World”-compilation (cat. no. 01) on Jog/Shuttle. As you might have noticed, the compilation release is still nowhere to be seen (it will come out real soon now^TM), so as a preview (or rather prelisten) to that, we’d like to give this song to you in time for the holidays.

Background Radiation’s EP released

In a strange coincidence last Sunday, I remembered I had this net label that somehow fell asleep for five months while on the other side of the planet somebody thought that Jog/Shuttle would make a fine place for their songs that had also been waiting to see the light for some time now.

Meet Tim Dwyer and Ludo Maas, two fine musicians I didn’t even know last week. They obviously have released a lot of songs before and I feel truly special for the opportunity to present their collaborative output as Background Radiation here on Jog/Shuttle. Their False Start EP contains six songs and is highly recommended (believe me, as biased as I am), so have a listen and download it for free right away:

We’re sort of shocked and pleased at the same time: Two songs of the recent (and so far only) release “Our Foolish Pride” have received airplay on the show Ouèbe Musique on CKRL 89,1 in Quebec, Canada. That was fast.

release the first album on Jog/Shuttle!

It’s the first and untitled EP by Our Foolish Pride, by Till from Berlin. I’m so proud, in a foolish way of course. It goes by the catalog number of 02 because 01 will be a compilation that was supposed to kick off Jog/Shuttle but I didn’t really urge the artists I asked so you’ll have to wait some weeks for that.

Jog/Shuttle is an internet music label, thought into existence in ten quiet minutes some weeks ago. I realized that I know a lot of people doing great music. Some of them already publish their works, some might not need another outlet for their tunes.

So I like to think of this label as a mixtape. I don’t know where this is heading to but please come along and we’ll find out together.
